About Us
The Songwriter's Studio has been in the business of mail-order demo production since 1988. Our Philosophy is to provide a cost effective demo that is already to putch to publishers, produces, and artists. We believe our product compares to other products costing much more.
Your producer is Steven Cooper. He has been a music business professional since 1973, producing literally thousands of songs. Those years of experience help guide in the arrangement and interpretation of your song. He is active member of N.A.R.A.S., the Grammy Association, an ASCAP writer and an ASCAP publisher (Spiral Cash Music).
In order to achieve a cost effective product. we bring our musicians and vocalists in for multiple song sessions. For instance, one of our female vocalists has a bit of "twang" in her voice. Once several songs have come in that she would be perfect for, we schedule a session. She receives the songs ahead of time so that she is prepared and knows them. Then we do a tracking session, fine tuning the vocals and the arrangement. After that we add any remaining instruments so their parts compliment the vocal. In demo production, the vocal is the most important element. Once all the pieces are together we mix and a CD (Compact Disc) is made. We keep a copy in our files so that if you ever loose your copy all you have to do is contact us for a replacement.
Nearly 95% of the demos we produce end up published and actively pitched in the market. We do have some publishers we recommend, and their names and/or likes are on our Website. Of course, there are many others and we encourage you to give your song as much exposure as you can. There are countless stories of songs that were rejected eventually becoming number one hits, so always "keep trying".
Much of our business is repeat clients, and we pride ourselves on a great sounding pitch ready product in a technologically advanced studio. We've included some "testimonials" from past productions.

Production is strictly on a first come, first serve basis. We are usually booked several weeks ahead, so the sooner we receive your song, the sooner you'll receive it back.
