Tipper
Any visitor to THE SONGWRITER’S STUDIO will be immediately greeted by Tipper.
She is the resident RCA “pooch”,
and claims most of the studio for herself. She will give up a spot or two for a treat. Her
favorite treats resemble strips of bacon ( though made from soy ), and we’ve named
them after one of her favorite songwriters, Jerry Pope.
Tipper will
also do tricks, her big finish being “the combo” - which includes rolling over,
turning around, jumping and speaking. After being presented the treat, she usually goes
for a wild run ! She loves all guests, and hopes one day to wag her tail so quickly that
she actually flies.

record, she is a “Wire-haired” Jack Russell Terrier - 1994 model. For more

Tipper’s
RCA father, Nipper and RCA brother Chipper have been well known for over one hundred
years. Since both of them are males, the name “Tipper” fits her legacy
perfectly. And for those of you who might be wondering, she is not named after “Tipper
Gore” - even though she and Tipper the pooch are residents of the same state. For
